Painful sex and irregular periods c-section

I had a c-section with my daughter 2 years ago and since then sex has been really painful, we’ve tried lube that’s not the problem because it’s definitely not dry down there.

Fast forward to December last year I’ve come of my pill to give my body a break and since then my periods have been quite irregular around as long as 48 day cycles.
Then today I’m on cycle day 41 and we’ve just done the deed and it was so painful I can only describe it like someone forcing something sharp hard into me as far as it will go.
I don't know if this has anything to do with the painful sex.

Has anyone else had similar experiences to this?
Im going to wait until next week to see if my period arrived and if not I’ll go to the doctors about it and the pain.

just to note I’m 25.

Was it painful before the csection?

I had a C-section 3 months ago, had sex for the first time a few days ago and it wasn’t painful. I would recommend talking to your gp for advice.

@Blue2020 no it wasn’t painful before, a lot of my favourite positions I can’t do anymore because I feel like crying.

A doctor is probably the best person, hopefully they can do some tests to check everything looks ok and to hopefully determine the problem (I’m not sure though, I’m sorry). The pill can throw period lengths off, at least you can tell the doctor it’s been 6-7 months and it still hasn’t improved. Alternatively someone might come along who experienced similar.

You could try posting it on ttc section? whether or not you are, there might be others coming off the pill to try again and having that issue, plus maybe they resolved their pain issue while on the pill so won’t connect them together? Could be worth a try? I hope you find out why it’s happening.

@Blue2020 ive just spoke to the doctor they’ve asked my to come in for some swaps for Chlamydia. I’m fuming I’ve been with the same partner for 8 year I told her the pain only came on since I had my c section and she’s just ignored that! I don’t know if it’s because I’m young she just assumes I’m going to get STDS. We’ll see what happens this afternoon at doctors.

@Lauren8642 thats odd. As long as you are ok go with it then you could to it and when they rule it out then ask them what the next step is while you are there in the room with them?

It could be an initial checklist for them, an order from simple tests to the more complex ones?
