Granulation tissue?

I'm 4 months postpartum had 2 long second degree tears due to very quick labour on first baby.

I finally had a look today and there are what look like 2 berries from a holly tree at the opening of the vagina? I am horrified. Google suggested it could be granulation tissue.

What do I need to do about it? My stitches were checked 2 weeks postpartum only. I've not been examined since then. Do I contact the GP?

Yes I'd see a gp
Does it hurt?
I had granulated tissue removed with silver nitrate

No it doesn't hurt and they haven't been bleeding or anything. I didn't know they were there until I looked.

@dementedpixie thanks for your response. Was it painful having them removed? Can it be done in a GPs? Sorry for all the questions.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was waiting for a hospital appointment to have them looked at (still am actually and my baby is 15 months old) but they just fell off themselves after a few weeks and so it resolved itself. I hope you get yours sorted soon.

Yes right at the opening blocking it so sex was too painful. Sounds like the same situation. I hope yours disappear too! But definitely mention to your doctor about them to get them sorted.
