Hi all,

my girl is 17m now and has always been a fairly good sleeper however i still feel absolutely exhausted and id say worse now than when she was a new born. I got my bloods done before xmas and was low on vit D and folate so was given supplements. Had another last month and came back satisfactory with no further action. anyone else feeling like this and if so what helps? I am also constantly ill from the nursery bugs that do the rounds! I know having a baby is both mentally and physically exhausting but i just dont know what else to do to improve it. Thanks

I really feel for you as I was like this and I’m just coming out the other side. It turned out I had bacterial sinusitis - I thought I was just getting loads of colds!! I had antibiotics and I feel loads better. So if it’s a constant snotty nose and cough you’ve got maybe go back to the GP and ask could it be that. Good luck!

Yep me baby is 9m and I'm only starting to feel better !

I've taken a a-z vitamin, high strength vit c, vitd vit b12, d, magnesium ( have unexplained body aches and this helps massively) and this seems to help

Whilst eating healthy and sleeping where I can

My immune system seems broken since pregnancy and since having covid 3 times now in 2 years

I've had fbc for low iron, folate and vit b 12 and when low levels came back normal I found their normal is far too low so I self medicate with vitamins as I think their range is far too low

So maybe some vits? Might help x

Also have you had your thyroid tested?

Mine was all over the place for 5m and is now level. They don't text for this as a fbc so ask if it hasn't been

Low or high thyroid can make you feel dreadful
It did me x

Thanks for your reply! That is exactly how I feel with the body aches aswel. I think i will continue with vit d and start the folate again..also looking into b12 injections just to see if that helps!

have you got any recommendations on vitamin brands as some dont seem very strong. Thanks again x

I feel the same. Have spent 8 weeks I'll since Christmas.
Floradix helps me feel less tired but nothing has stopped me getting ill. More often than not more ill than the baby!

@Chans11 don't bother with vit b 12 injections
Complete waste of money
I went to Holland and Barrett and got a-z
That with a healthy diet is enough
High strength vit c ( 1000mg) and make sure you have 5mg of folate not shop bought ones
Iron levels checked as that can make you tired

X
