I’m on the day before my last of the course of my antibiotics for my infected section scar, I noticed one side is healing perfectly but the other side doesn’t seem to be getting better. Monday I noticed a small hole and then today they’ve gotten bigger, I’ve rang my doctors but they won’t see you face to face unless needed. I’m wearing gauzes as well to help with moisture but I’ve noticed with the side of the hole whenever I remove the gauze it takes the layer off and it bleeds. It feels like a scab is there and pulling but isn’t. Has anyone else had this with an infected scar

So sorry that you haven't had any responses yet @Tanishaa458

Hopefully someone will be along soon.

Hiya. My scar did this after a heomatoma (sp) burst.
Mine was very infected and smelly, in the end I had to try and get air to it , which is very difficult when you need to wear enormous pants to hold in the pads.

Im currently going through this now. Im a little over 3m pp, and its reopened 4 times (currently open in the same exact spot rn too)! I ended up getting some form of a puss pocked over the area after a few weeks of not having issues that popped last night and has left it open all day. Looks like yours everytime it opens too, itll start out small & get a little big bigger :(

Yeah I’ve finally got it all sorted after 2 rounds of antibiotics and I went private and saw a wound specialist who gave me silver dressing for around a month, changed it 3 days after each dressing was placed!
