Anyone had postpartum ingrown fingernails?

Strange one I know!

I am 5 weeks postpartum and just recovered from an infected and quite painful ingrown fingernail and it's happening again (same finger). Just had a flashback to postpartum with my now 3.5 year old and the same thing happened then too and it's the only other time this has ever happened to me so, makes me think there must be a post pregnancy related reason?

Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any tips for relieving and/or preventing?

Whats your fingernail got to do with postpartum? Its a coincidence surely....

I've had three in my life. One 4 weeks after DD1, another 3 weeks after DD2 and a third 2 weeks later. 3.5 years apart.

Yep - had this with my toenail too. Must be hormones?

I’ve got this after having my little boy, mines ingrown toenail.. how did everyone heal it? Did they have to go to the doctors?

@Ukmum25 I just soaked in warm water and put sudo/plasters on it and it eventually went away. I had two in a short space of time but then nothing since and I’m 5mo pp now
