I just need some reassurance that this will go away at some point. I'm on antidepressants and awaiting therapy but it feels never ending and hopeless. I just want to be myself again...be happy and enjoy my family.

Flowers It will get better but you might need increased dose so please be in touch with your GP. How are you feeling OP? Is this your first baby?

You will get better OP, I promise you.

How has your HV been? Around here we have a group they can refer you to for Mum's who need a bit of support.

Are you able to get any time for yourself too?

LadyGAgain · 31/03/2023 00:04

Thank you for your posts. I have reduced my meditation for 4 days while my body adjusts to it n I feel a lot better after 2 days of doing this. I know it's a working progress some days/ hours are better than others

I'm much further down the line than you but it does get better - I promise. Keep going and there will be flashes where you feel like yourself and one day, not too far away you will have a day where the weight goes away for a while and gradually more and more until it becomes the norm. You are not alone and you will get better. Wishing you all the best.

Just wanted to add my thoughts - I am in this with you too. I have been diagnosed with perinatal depression and it’s horrible.

i think we can get through this. So many women have. And have children after. We can do it. ❤️ 💐
