What’s normal for pp bleeding?

I’m one week postpartum and my lochia is bright red again every now and then. Is this cause for concern?

It’s not excessive and seems to be after lying down for a long time or a bit of movement, but I didn’t know if the colour might be a worry. So far no other symptoms.

Advice/experience appreciated!

This was similar to me. Unless it's getting heavier or passing large clots my midwife told me not to worry.

I had to be heavily stitched up after my first child, so had a lot of bleeding after, also clots. Midwife came to see me every day for a week and bleeding got less after a week, but still had some discharge for at least 2 weeks. I found I had to rest more and if I didn’t the bleeding would start again.

I'm 8 weeks PP and bright red lochia was on and off for about 4 weeks for me! Completely normal for it to start and stop. Xx
