Period - 4 weeks post partum?

Hi there

I’m a first time mum who gave birth exactly 4 weeks ago today via elcs. My recovery has been very smooth/straightforward and my Lochia tapered off to brown and minimal after 2.5wks and for the last few days there hasn’t been anything at all.
today on my panty liner I noticed red blood and more on the loo roll after going to the bathroom.
could this be my period returning after 4 weeks? I formula feed exclusively, never attempted bf’ing.

no other symptoms such as fever, pain or smells.

I did lose quite a bit of blood during the operation (no transfusion required) but have been in good health since being discharged.

Hi, hope you’re well! Just wondering if all was ok with this? I’m now nearly 5 weeks post c-section and have what I think is my period?

Wow mine took 4 months to come back

@flowers246 you might want to try an @ to get the OP to come back.

Congratulations on your new LO Flowers

@flowers246 all was fine - it only lasted a day so I think it was some c section bleeding still.
I got prescribed the combined pill at my 6 week check and started taking that again so my “cycle” is just as per the pill.

Just an update mine was actually a womb infection 😫 Been on antibiotics but on the mend now! Doctor said it only takes one little germ to get in there when they’re doing your operation!
