How long does a c section scar hurt for?

I’m 3 weeks PP and my c section scar still hurts if I laugh or touch it. When will this stop?

is it actual pain or more like a sting?

if it’s pain then I would consider having it checked out.

Have it checked- I had a c section yrs ago and ended up with an infection in the scar and a vaginal infection as well. Was easily sorted but needed anti biotics to clear it up.

For me the laughing / touching / general pain / tugging etc. took about the 6-8 weeks mark to resolve and now I feel absolutely fine

Im now 20 weeks PP and it can be a bit sensitive / still have numb areas but that’s very minor.

You’ll get there. Be patient and kind to yourself. It’s a big deal that we go through xx

Mine still occasionally lances with burning pain 3 years later, and still some numbness around it. The initial soreness took 12 weeks to go though.

I get a stab of pain if I sneeze, 21 and 17 years ago. I still can't bear to touch it as it is completely numb and touching it makes me cringe.

It's major surgery so it can hurt or be swollen for months and be within normal healing timeframe.

Mine occasionally twinges and has a sharp pain across it every now and again 3 years later.

But the initially ache and pull went after about 6 weeks.
