Have to decide conception today

Hi all, what was everyone's contraception of choice? I have my 6 week check up today and been told I need to decide what contraception I would like to be on.

Before I got pregnant with DD I was on the combined pill. Myself and DP plan to be pregnant with our second in the next 2 years so wondering if it is best to go back on the combined pill or mini pill?

Thanks x

Why do you need to decide today. It's not compulsory to use contraception.

Sorry title should say contraception!

Totally agree but I have my 6 week check up today that was all. I would need to be on some form of contraception as we aren't looking to have another for a couple of years.

Yes but if you don't want to make a quick decision today just use condoms for now and do research first - then go back to your GP.

Might have to thanks @Needmorelego !

If your pill was working well before, I'd go back on it. Different pills can agree or disagree more with you. I went on one and bled solidly for three months and felt awful. Swapped to my now regular one and had no issues. I imagine with a new baby the last thing you want is extra stress of trying out contraception to see what agrees or doesn't.
