Hi there. Long story short, my baby is now 6 weeks old as of yesterday. The labour was horrendous and I ended up going through contractions and pushing but then ended up needing an emergency c section and being put to sleep. I started the progesterone only pill the day after I gave birth. I have bled continuously and the last few days have been really heavy. No clots, but I can feel it coming out when I'm walking around. Is this normal with starting the pill again or should I ring my doctor with it still happening after 6 weeks? Thank you in advance. Smile

I have no idea OP, but it sounds pretty awful for you, so surely no harm calling the doctor to get checked out?

You should have a 6 week postnatal health check with your GP even if you weren't still bleeding so yes, call them and make an appointment.

My health visitor advised me to wait until 8 weeks as she said they usually do the 6 week checkup at their immunisation appointment. There has been no mention of a postnatal check, but I will ring them on Monday. Thank you very much 😊

Glad that you're going to speak to the GP.

I'd also have a chat with Birth Trauma Association. It won't help with the bleeding but may help you come to terms with the birth Flowers
