Please help
I am in excruciating pain!!!

I got haemorrhoid's in My last few weeks of pregnancy and was just like a small lump under the skin and was manageable.

I'm now 7 weeks postpartum and it's come back and oh my the pain I'm in is awful and the lump is really big 😳 I am struggling to sit down and walk...been using anusol but nothing has worked! Waiting for a doc appointment

Are you using the cream or suppositories?

Make sure you drink lots of water and clear fluids, avoid caffeine, eat loads of fruit and veg. Every time you eat, make sure you eat something with soluble fibre and also drink some water.

@SuperLoudPoppingAction

Using both! Nothing is working :(
Never had any issues with straining to go the toilet so not sure why they are back again but the pain is unbearable this time around 😢

You need to see your GP you might need a referral to get them banded, in the meantime there are great suppositories and cream that you can get on prescription, it's not normal to be in that much discomfort and there are things that can be done, I hope you feel better soon

emilylouisee · 28/07/2022 02:58

It's actually just burst 😳

It was external and I felt my knickers were damp... turns out it's burst and I have instant relief!

Burst as in blood? Oh your poor thing, I had that once and the whole loo filled with blood but it felt so much better, you don't need to get them looked at though

MissSmiley · 28/07/2022 03:11

That's supposed to say you do need to get them looked at

emilylouisee · 28/07/2022 03:16

@MissSmiley

Yep!!! I thought oh great now my period has started 🤣
Then I had a look as I then realised I could walk normally and it's burst and literally shrunk down to nothing! What a relief!!! Already sleep deprived with a 7 week old, really didn't need this aswell so I'm so glad!

Will deffo get checked at the doctors tomorrow though! Apparently they burst when a blood clot forms in them 🤷🏼‍♀️ that would explain the pain.. looked like I was growing a testicle 🤣

I used to find ice was an instant relief for my piles. I was also given anti inflammatory medicine (diclafenac?) which stopped them throbbing.

MissSmiley · 28/07/2022 03:24

@emilylouisee congratulations on your new baby and I hope your piles get sorted, sleep deprivation is a killer though

Oh wow! Glad you are getting it sorted. Was that caused by pregnancy too?
