Postpartum Joint Pain?

For the last two or three weeks, since my baby turned three months, I've had pain and stiffness in my feet to the point where I've been hobbling around after I've been sitting for a while. This week, pain in my wrists and fingers has started as well, and it's so debilitating.

I'm aware that it could be rheumatoid arthritis (especially as the pain began on both sides at the same time), but I'm looking for stories from people who had this and it WASN'T that. My husband also has a chronic,.debilitating illness and now I'm terrified that if it's RA I won't be able to properly care for my child. I don't want her to be a young carer. I've just turned 37.

I'm also breastfeeding and have cut out dairy, soya, eggs, and coconut due to my child's allergies. I'm hoping it's "just" a vitamin deficiency but I have been eating well and taking supplements. My right eye has also started twitching. I am so scared!

Does anybody have any words of comfort while I wait to speak to the doctor?

Check your thyroid! I had hideous aches and pains in my hands and wrists plus lots of other symptoms. I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid which then turned out to be Hashimotos disease.

Once I started medication I felt almost instantly better and have lived happily ever since (including through a further two babies)

Apparently pregnancy can trigger an under active thyroid (post partum thyroiditis) so if it is that, it might not be a permanent thing.
