Postnatal hair loss - when does it end?!

DD is nearly 7 months - my pp hair loss started at 4 months and it is unbelievable the amount of hair I have lost and I am still losing. Each day when I brush my hair so much comes out. Also, whenever I wash my hair massive clumps keep coming out. It doesn't seem to be slowing down and my hair is looking soooo thin (it wasn't particularly thick to begin with). When I put my hair up you can see a lot of scalp! It seems worse than the first time I went through pp hair loss too.

When does PP hair loss typically end?
Does it grow back?
Is there anything I can do to help my hair to grow back or to slow down the loss?
What are your experiences?

Thank you!

My pp hair loss took about 3 months and then grew back all at once so I ended up with an odd ‘short fringe’ at the front Smile

If your experience is different this time than your first, I think it would be sensible to see a GP so that they can check your iron levels etc, as that can have an impact.

Mine started at 3 months and has slowed down from 5 months although I find my hair everywhere . You could try stimulating your
scalp to help the grown or run in oil depending on your hair type

I lost lots of hair! It started growing back around 9 months mark…
