Pregnancy weight loss

14 days postnatal - yes it's early days....

I'm desperate to get back to pre pregnancy weight for the sole reason of I just want to feel like me again. I gained 30lbs in pregnancy and just through birth/sleep deprivation I've lost 17lb so far but the next 13lb are gonna take work and exercise. I've had a section so that's not gonna happen for a while. I'm bottle feeding. I look like a blimp and want my body back. I told the HV how I was feeling and she just shot me down. I know it's early and will probably come off in a few months but I want my body back; I want my confidence back. Anyone else feel similar?

I found a binder/waist trainer really helped with stretch marks and losing weight after my c section :) (not a corset!)

If youre breast feeding that can really help you to lose weight too. Eat healthily and and do yoga and light exercise when youre given the green light x

If you're bottle feeding, then you can go ahead with a calorie controlled diet.

Have you dieted before? Some people find different diets work for them, so I'm not going to abdicate any particular weight loss diet.

Stock up on coffee and tea to have instead of reaching for chocolate when you're shattered from being up all night with baby and when you can, try to incorporate a little exercise into your day, even if it's just a short walk or a few bicep curls with tins from the cupboard as weights of you have no dumbbells at home. You could even use baby as a weight!

Good luck

OP you have birth 2 weeks ago and you've oy got a stone to loss. Slow down a bit. Ime your body desperately tries to stop you losing weight for a while after giving birth. Why are uou putting so much pressure on yourself?
