4 periods in one month and horrible back pain

Hello all!

I'm 16 months post partum. My little boy is winding down with his breast feeding now and so we have ended up with just one feed a day (after his bath!). In January I had my first post partum period. It lasted 13 days and was heavy. 9 days later I had another period ( so 22 day cycle). I then had a 14 day cycle, followed by a 13 day cycle.
All of the periods have been heavy. No spotting in between, but I have had Horrific lower back and hip/ pelvic/ lower abdominal pain which gets much worse just before starting to bleed again.
Sex hasn't been uncomfortable, generally I'm OK. But if course being medical myself (veterinary) I'm prone to thinking about scary things and worry that some of these signs may be due to cervical cancer etc rather than post partum cycle irregularities!

Has anyone had similar symptoms? xx

21 months pp, stopped breastfeeding in Jan. Periods have been lasting 2 weeks since then! They aren't particularly heavy though but it's quite annoying.
I'm going to give it a few months and hope they settle
