8 weeks after 2nd degree tear

I gave birth 8 weeks ago and had a 2nd degree tear. I still feel very tender in the muscle that tore. When I wee it feels tender and I haven’t been able to bring myself to do the deed yet. Has anyone gone through this? I don’t know if the tender feeling is normal

Did you get stitches?

I felt like my insides were falling out. Normal apparently. My tips are to have a bath or shower at least daily, followed by an airing. This for me was lying on the floor legs open with a towel for the modesty I no longer had. I also had salt baths ( just add table salt to bath). Midwife laughed at this but said it wouldn't do any harm. Don't do anything you are not ready for. For me it was six months before we had sex. I had a third degree followed by a second but the second was definitely worse.

Yes I did get stitches. It was just one continuous stitch

Nothing is painful and it all looks healed it just feels tender when I have a wee but I’m guessing that’s from pushing the wee out and using the muscle ?
