First PP menstruation too early??

Im wondering about other women's experience with their first postpartum period.

Im the first of my friends to have a baby, so I don't have many people to talk to about his stuff.

Im curious about how long after birth your period came back, what it was like etc. can it be gradual? Like spotting first or does it just come back intensely

I'm about 8.5 weeks post partum, exclusively breastfed feeding. My Lochia began to taper off early and stopped completely at around 3 weeks.

The last few days I have noticed a small amount of spotting and some very slight period like cramping. This has increased a little, it's definitely looking like the beginning of a period.

Is this too early for exclusively breastfeeding? I'm not pumping either. Everything I've read suggests it wouldn't return for a few more months

Keen to hear other people's experiences. I know it varies for everyone. Thanks in advance.
Happy new year

If could be your AF. I EBF and mine came back at 18 months each time but my DF EBF all of hers and her AF came back at around 4 weeks. You might just be incredibly unlucky Thanks

I was 21 days with my third despite exclusive breastfeeding. My cycle stayed at 21 days for years and it was horrendous but the midwife said it wasn’t unheard of.
