Hi just looking for some advice or if somebody has been in the same boat as me, i gave birth in july and bleeding was relatively normal apart from some retained membranes a week later, i started the pill on the 1st day of what i assumed was my 1st period so iv been on it for atleast 4 months, my problem is for the last almost 8 weeks iv had brown spotting everyday and its enough to need a pad, iv stopped for like 2 days and then its started again, iv been to the GP and was told to give my body another 6 months to sort itself out then think about changing contraception, has this happened to anybody and it did end up stopping?

I tried to take contraception after my first child and ended up bleeding for weeks so I gave up and passed responsibility to my husband. After a week of stopping the pill the bleeding stopped.

Its been over 4 years since having my 1st and I have never gone back on it, had a 2nd child and although I exbf both I had normal monthly periods.

I put all the issues down to the pill messing up my cycle and confusing my body due to hormonal changes.

Husband had the snip so I dont need to worry although I wont lie having a monthly period and knowing I wont have any more children is really hard so I do wonder about trying the pill again (it stopped my periods previously)
