Breast changes (lumps) after pregnancy

Hi,

I didn't really know where else to turn with this and am just looking for people who may have been in the same situation!

I gave birth 7 weeks ago, about 2 weeks ago I noticed some lumps in my breasts and am now beside myself thinking the worst.

I have been to my GP and they have referred me to the breast clinic however my appointment is still two weeks away

There is specifically one lump which I am worried about and whilst I can feel lumps all over this one is more round and prominent.

Anybody else experience anything like this?

Honestly sounds hormonal to me given the timeframe. Or failing that I’d guess milk cysts

Hi I am in the same boat. Few weeks after giving birth, had a prominent lump near my nipple. If massaged I do get discharge. I went to the GP. They thought a blocked milk duct and was put on antibiotics. I am not breast feeding so I was worried. The lump seemed to reduce then come back up again. They said milk duct but referred me to the breast clinic. I have been waiting a while because the first appointment I couldn't make it at that time. My new one is tomorrow. I am terrified but the lump has gone. I occasionally feel a tiny one but then it's gone again.

I think if the lump is changing from bigger to smaller then it should be benign and defo related to the pregnancy!

@Rachel2412 cancerous lumps wouldn’t disappear or shrink

They said my breasts do feel generally lumpy. But the main lump has gone. Did an ultrasound and they said all normal 😊
