Period has returned 6 weeks postnatal

My baby girl is 6 weeks old and exclusively breastfed, yet my period has started today. I don't think it's postnatal bleeding as that stopped around 2 weeks ago. Just wondered if the women who are breastfeeding have periods that are regular or were they more irregular until you stopped breastfeeding?

Hi, I had a period 6 weeks PP and exclusive breastfed.

DS is now 5 months and I haven’t had another one yet! I think it was just changing hormones, or maybe DS was starting to feed slightly less often than he had as a new newborn.

I just know I am definitely not pregnant 🤣
