Period post breastfeeding

Hello,

I haven’t yet had a period since giving birth 8 months ago. I breastfed DS until 6 months but he hasn’t had a feed in over 2 months now. Just wondering how long it took for everyone else to get their period? Definitely not pregnant again 😅

It might take a while longer for you to return to full fertility.

It took a few months for my first period post breastfeeding, then found they got lighter and further apart. In the end I had to take metformin to regulate my cycles as we wanted to TTC DC2. Blood tests showed no reason for missing periods, but the metformin worked and I had a positive pregnancy test six weeks later.
