I dont think it looks infected
Is it sore?
Does it feel hot or have any redness?

northernmamax · 24/08/2021 17:45

@dementedpixie no nothing like that. I've never had any stitches or anything before so I don't know what im looking for

Mine was similar to this although slightly bigger. I went to the Dr and directed to the wound clinic. A couple of weeks later and it was all sorted. Not infected, just not healing thanks to skin overhang (lovely) and no air circulation.

2RedShoes · 24/08/2021 17:48

It looks like there is a little bit of pus there. I'd ask your HV and maybe antibiotics?

SameToo · 24/08/2021 17:51

I had the same. Had it checked and they said it a was fine. Spent a lot of time lying down with it out.

DeltaFlyer · 24/08/2021 17:51

I had similar.
Stomach overhang meant it wasn't healing and was getting smelly Blush.
Midwife said to lay on the bed and air it of a few times a day after cleaning. After a while I just coated it in sudocream until it healed fully

Needingsupportplease · 24/08/2021 17:55

Mine looked just like that and I was given antibiotics so seems to be a mixed response mine weeped a little bit blood and yellow and just didn't seem to heal in one spot

EnglishRain · 24/08/2021 17:58

Mine didn't look like that

SirVixofVixHall · 24/08/2021 18:02

Did you have dissolving stitches ?
My first one did not look like that ( one long thread with beads) my second, with dissolving stitches, looked like yours, same for a friend. The midwife advised plenty of air.

EnglishRain · 24/08/2021 18:06

This was mine 13 days post op, with dissolvable stitches

northernmamax · 24/08/2021 19:02

@EnglishRain all the rest of it looks like that just that tiny tiny bit that is open still, it's smaller than a grain of rice. Maybe I'll just let some air get to it as I do have a bit of overhang in that area
