I took "Clexane® Syringes, 4,000 IU (40 mg)/0.4 ml solution for injection in pre-filled syringes" daily for 6 weeks.

I got these symptoms / side effects :

bruising or pain at the injection site (Common side effect, may affect up to 1 in 10 people)

and

hard mass or lump at the injection site (Rare side effect, may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people).

See side effects on: www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/4499/pil
Should I worry?

I started having this bruising/hard mass lump on the injection site (my left thigh) on week 5 of injections.

I am worried about the hard lump that appeared at the injection site. Could it be an infection? Or is it that the body normally reacts like this to repeated jabbing to the thigh, as what a doctor said?? Has anyone experienced this? What was the treatment?

Are you moving round and injecting in a different area each time?

It will dissipate. Even flu jabs, b12 injections etc can leave a bit of a lump sometimes & they are a single injection.

Yes I moved around each time. I would do the left thigh, right thigh, left stomach then right stomach, change around each time. But, I have to admit, I did rub some injection sites after jabbing, I don't know why my brain thought they were IVF injections where you have to rub the injection area Confused. Maybe that might have caused the lump?? It could be an infection possibly?? I'm going to speak to the doctor again, I've had this hard lump on the injection site for about 3 weeks now...
