Is it possible to tear again?

Hi ladies, I’m wondering If someone can help. Bit of an odd one.

I gave birth for the first time back in 2018 where I had a episiotomy and stitches . I gave birth the second time September 2020 no stitches and the midwife didn’t mention anything about me tearing down there.

I’ve recently noticed that it looks completely different to how it did the first time around ( don’t really look down there) it looks as if I’ve teared open the same place where my stitches previously was. Is this possible?

Freaking out I don’t know what to do

Thank you x

It would seem odd for the midwives not to mention another tear. Could you just be a bit more “stretched out”? Is there a reason you’re concerned? Pain? Itching? If so, I’m sure a GP would look at it.

Does it bother you, do you feel uncomfortable down there?

If you don't, I doubt it would be a problem regardless of how it looks. It's how it feels that matters. It's possible you had a small tear which has healed.
