C section scar treatments?

Has anyone tried anything? Used any oils or scar patches or found massage of the scar beneficial? And how soon did you start to do it? I'm 7 weeks postpartum so don't know if it's a bit early, or if these things even work! X

Scaraway silicone c-section strip and mederma gel did the trick for me. Had to wait till there was no obvious wound left to heal but I think it was about 6 weeks after.
Massage and pressure plus the above have worked for all my post-op scars (one CS and two hip ops).
Best of luck

Not on a section scar but I've used silicone scar sheets on a raised scar on my leg and was very impressed with how quickly it flattened it down. Admittedly it was only a small/minor injury rather than a surgical one, but it had been bumpy with no improvement for months.

They weren't expensive, and a lot less messy than repeatedly slapping creams or oils on though so worth a try? Though some massage with something moisturising will definitely help too, but the scar sheets are easy to wear under clothes as they're not wet or sticky. (They do stick to the skin somewhat to stay in place, but not with any adhesive etc, they feel rubbery)

I heard some oils claim to remove the scars but I have not actually used them.

I'm using kelocote scar remover for my c section scar. I started using it when the wound had healed properly externally so from around 5 weeks. I don't use it everyday as the suturing is really good but I do massage it and sometimes use coconut oil as well.

I know this isn't what you asked but I didn't do anything and my CS scar is barely visible a year later. There's just one little bit that's more red, about 1.5cm. I'm really surprised at how little it shows. No idea if it's the norm or if I got really lucky...
