Hi ladies, anyone any experience of having covid vaccine after c section delivery, I'm 3.5 weeks pp, I'm feeling generally ok apart from the usual sleep deprivation, just got a bit of swelling left over near incisions but wound has healed well externally, on blood thinners for another 3 weeks but gp says this is not a contraindication to vaccine - it'll be my second Pfizer vaccine so just wondering if anyone has any experience with having it after c section - where side effects manageable etc xx

I had my second Pfizer jab just over 2 weeks after my section. I've had minimal side effects (just a bit of a sore arm at the injection site).

I had my 2nd moderna on Monday, 4 weeks after my section. Not going to lie I was feeling rough and miserable the day after but it didn’t affect the section at all or made worse by it. I would just prepare for a day on the sofa dosed up!

I had my 2nd pfizer 10 days after the c section at 11am and by late afternoon I had a sore arm. Then in the night I had chills and felt really nauseous, all went by about 7am! It was only uncomfortable in terms of sleeping as I had just started to lay on my side, so pushing myself up was difficult with one arm! But it was only a night or two and luckily DH was up quick with our LO.

Also just to note... Not sure if they told you first time round but drink loads of water (helps with possible headaches) and take paracetamol, even if you feel ok. Hugely helped me!
