Has anyone else experienced this? I still have above my incision a 'ledge' of swelling which is much bigger on the right hand side, I also have a small bit of the incision on the right side which is struggling to heal about 1 wide, with serous fluid coming out
I went to the gp about this 2 weeks ago when it was worse who said they think it's not infected but I took a course of antibiotics incase
I've been told the swelling can be lopsided as the pull the baby out one way (usually right) so there's more trauma to that side
Basically is the swelling normal or possibly related to the fluid? Sad

Yes I have a similar swelling. The medical team said it's oedema (fluid) for me. It's water retention they said. I stayed in hospital to get this sorted, but I'm still trying to recover. I was given meds and I was on a drip. I was given antibiotics.

I was also told to see how it goes for 6 weeks and let the medical team know how things go after that...

I know it's been a while but I'm in search of others experiences as I'm in a similar position to you with the swelling on right side/left is grand.

What happened in the end, how did it recover ?
I am 4 weeks pp and the right feels inflamed. X

Hello, sorry I just saw this! How are you now? I think the right side sticks out slightly more but overall it healed fine x
