Hiya all,

So this past week has been somewhat stressful. First some lunatic caused damage to our garden, I sorted it out but I found it all quite stressful. Secondly, as I took by foot my 4 months old DS to the gp yesterday, I realised just how much I've been staying indoors!! Gosh, it was the first time I went that far with the pushchair since he's born! It did me a world of good, I made a point to go out every day.
But yesterday morning, and to a lesser extent thus morning, first thing waking up and I have this anxious feeling. What is breastfeeding safe for short term anxiety? Thanks

@TensmumT I didn't want to read and run. Sorry to hear you've had a crappy week but great to hear you went on a good venture with the pram it really is great getting a good walk in. The reason I didn't want to move past your post is because I had post natal anxiety after I had my baby and during my CBT classes this was often a topic of conversation. Basically my therapist advised me that sometimes when we do things which might make us anxious we get a rush of adrenaline and want to do it again and again. But after adrenaline comes the come down and that can be a mimic in the anxiety cycle. One thing I took from that was not to overwhelm myself with plans of "right I've done this now so I'm going to do x,y and z". So I'd take in that I did a trip out or a big walk, relax the next day and then do another trip out when I felt ready not because I felt I had to. I hope that makes sense? I've used her advice and feel so much better...now stuck in isolation with my 15mo and I don't quite know how I let my brain stop me getting out the house before, now I have anxiety today being in the house 😄🙈 x

@Bluemeadowbaby thanks for the reply!

It sucks being indoors, ask me! Hopefully your isolation will go by very fast!
Interesting things by your therapist, I'll try to look into more. Might have not have been the best decision for breastfeeding, but in the end I took a kalms lavender, it worked a treat!
