Issues with Pill (Cerazette)

I gave birth in January and after speaking with the healthcare provider they prescribed me the birth control pill (Cerazette) in April after I got my first period.

My first period after birth was pretty normal, last month it was very light bit this month has been different.

I had sex for the first time after birth on 1st June, that day I had been spotting a little. Its now 2.5 weeks later and I still have my period.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so what did you do?
I have called my GP surgery numerous times to speak to someone, but as its not deemed an emergency reception will not make me an appointment. Currently unsure what to do and wondering when this bleeding will stop as it's so draining.

I had an awful time with this pill after giving birth last year. I started taking 21 days after birth and was still bleeding on and off for 8 months. After 4 months I spoke to my health visitor/gp who told me that this pill is notorious for erratic bleeding after birth… not that I was told this at the beginning when I started it again but anyway! After the 6 months they then took it seriously and I got a telephone appointment to get it changed.

I had a similar experience, bleeding on and off for 4 months after I started. I had to take a prescribed hormone to get the bleeding to stop and switched to the combined pill after which worked much better for me.

Hi I've not taken it after birth but whilst taking it I had constant bleeding which went on for 2 years and no doctors would help me or switch my pill due to already trying many in the past.
I eventually gave up and stopped the pill which then took a while to settle the bleeding and cycles.
Maybe look at the implant or coil?

It took around 4 months to settle for me. The doctor told me to wait it out before changing

Yep - was on cerazette for years with no problems then after birth of DD went back onto it and bled continuously for months. I ended up stopping as I wanted to try for another baby. I really didn’t get on with it after having a baby and am now looking for alternative methods of contraception. So frustrating as cerazette was great pre-baby!
