Had my baby last Sunday via forceps and had episiotomy.
Was told to do pelvic floor exercises which I'm trying to do but still a bit sore.
The problem is, is that I can't feel when I need to wee...you know when you say I'm desperate for a wee I don't feel that. When I stand up after sleep or a nap it comes out and I wet myself this morning and couldn't stop it.

I'm slowly feeling when I need a poo and have got that part out the way. Is it normal for the weeing bit though?
After I have a short walk everything feels heavy and I can't do pelvic floor exercises at all then unless I'm sat down.

I'm scared this isn't normal as the lady who came round to do the checks after labor said I would feel after 4 days.

I know that the uncontrollable gas is normal but this is freaking me out.

Please be kind I'm rather scared

It's only been a week and you've had fairly major work on your bits so don't panic. When everything is open again tomorrow, contact your PHN or better still the maternity unit to tell them your concerns. They may have a little look to make sure everything is ok. And huge congratulations Flowers
