When did your periods return?

Had my baby 10 weeks ago. I am exclusively formula feeding so thought it would return sooner (not that I'm complaining!)

I had some super light spotting for a few days last week but it's now tailed off. I used to spot 3 days before my full flow came in (sorry if TMI!)

What was your first real period like after baby as well?

At four months, which was very annoying as I was exclusively breastfeeding. I remember I felt very pre-menstrual and uncomfortable for a while beforehand and when it arrived it was heavy. The following month I was back to normal.

9 weeks after baby was born for me!

About 12 weeks with my first, and they were completely irregular for about a year. Anything from 21 days to 45 days. Heavy to spotting.

6 weeks with my second. I got a normal flow period, but it lasted longer than usual. I'm now on my 2nd period postpartum and it's ultra heavy, and my cycle was 30days this time.

I think anything and everything can happen. I suggest getting a app to track all symptoms inc spotting etc or writing it down so you can atleast kinda work out what your body is doing (or trying to do!)

Just to update mine returned at exactly 13 weeks and was a lot heavier than usual!

10 months postpartum! Was desperate to conceive again from 7 months postpartum so dropped 2 out of his four scheduled feeds so he’d go from 7am- 7pm on formula instead. Problem was he was still breast feeding 2-3 times outside of the scheduled feeds at night.
