Periods after pregnancy...fresh blood at the end of period

Hi,

My periods came back really quickly after giving birth and my little one is 8 months old now. I'm not breastfeeding and I'm like clockwork with my periods.

They usually last about 5-6 days but the past 3 periods have all ended with fresh blood on the 5-6th day. This blood only lasts for a day but it's enough to fill my pad and make me question it. I'm not on any contraception and my periods or sex don't hurt either. I don't have any other bleeding.

Labour was traumatic, episiotomy, haemorrhage and I was anemic during pregnancy. Anyone ever gone through something similar?

I feel I could of written a similar post myself! I had lil one in Feb and have had two periods since. The first one was heavy and rough for 10 days thought I was done and the 12&13th day it returned bright red, just recently had the second period lasting a more normal 6 days thought it was finished and then bright red again after it showing signs of it coming to end.
