I’ve been combination feeding my soon from the very beginning he spent a week in Icu where he gradually got expressed breast milk only his latch wasn’t great and with 3 other small children I found the pressures of pumping really hard so started bringing in some formula he’s now mostly formula fed but still getting top ups of breast milk he’s almost 5 weeks old and I’ve took my period 🤯 wasn’t expecting it just so quick any advice or if this sounds pretty normal

I think my mum got hers after about 6 weeks, not breastfeeding. If you are breastfeeding a bit but not much, your periods could revert back to normal. I got my periods back when I dropped to 2-3 feeds a day. Check with your midwife or GP though if you’re concerned or if it seems especially heavy!

With both my children I had a period 28 days after the births. I was still breastfeeding one of them.

I breastfed all four of mine, and my periods were back between 4 and 6 weeks with all of them. I remember being insanely jealous of my friend who was breastfeeding, as her periods didn't return for 18 months!
