Hey,

So i was due my first smear back in November but as i was pregnant they told me i have to wait 12 weeks after giving birth.

I had my DS 6 weeks ago so have another 6 weeks to wait and i have done the stupid thing of looking on google and alls i can find is people who have had abnormal results 🙁

I suffer with health anxiety and this is making me really worried, so is there anyone who has actually had a normal smear after birth? Id really like to know

Hi, I had my smear 16 weeks PP and my results were normal:-)

@Newtothis213 thank you!

I have spoke to docs about it and she said its more likely people just dont post when they get a good result which makes sense to be fair!

Hey, I had one last Feb, 12 weeks after pregnancy...I had minor changes but all that meant was that I had to have another test 12 months after so had it last week and waiting for the results.
I know it's easy to say don't worry but I've had more severe changes before and quite often it sorts itself out.

Mine was absolutely fine after birth, I can’t remember how many weeks it was exactly but I had it done as soon as possible as I was overdue due to pregnancy.
Nurse was also fantastic as I said I was a nervous wreck about having someone rummaging in my vag after birth but it was quick and painless and no more uncomfortable than normal.
It will be fine.
