Postpartum + lockdown insanity

Ugh, I just need a moan! Anyone else in the same boat...

I’m 9 weeks postpartum, got a lovely healthy happy baby and a 3.5 yr old DD. I know I’m v v lucky indeed

Getting very little sleep still though - perhaps 6 or 7 hours a night max, but broken up into 1-3 hr stretches. Baby is breastfed and doing so well, but I feel pretty broken

DD is pretty demanding, she’s wonderful but deserves so much more than I can give her. I’m struggling to engage in any activities other than going out for walks. Wish I had the energy to be a fun mum!

DH is working late 7 days a week at the mo so I’m generally on my own. We watch wayyy too much CBeebies!

Of course we can’t go out anywhere or see friends due to lockdown. Got a fair few weeks to go....

Anyone else bleary eyed and fed up?!

I have a 3 month old and I feel your pain OP!
Bored bored bored bored bored!
Not seeing friends or family (just my mom as she is in our bubble) no baby groups, no coffee dates with work friends, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND ITS TORTURE!!!!
I never thought my maternity leave would be like this! I'm actually counting the days that I can go back to work so I can engage with other people other than my DH!
Here's hoping it's only for another few months OP!
I feel your pain!
Disclaimer: I'm so happy I had my DS abs wouldn't change him for anything but I feel what I feel and can't change that so don't feel bad either!
