Bleeding after c-section almost 7 weeks pp

I've had lochia the entire time since LO was born, so over 6 weeks, though it has never been heavy. Yesterday though the bleeding changed to being bright red which I know can be a concern. I have my 6-week check on Monday but I just wondered how worried I should be, it isn't heavy enough to be a period but has continued into today. I don't have a temperature and the external scar line looks ok. Any advice? I did text my midwife even though I've been discharged and she said it could my period but to mention it on Monday. I just don't like to think the scar has opened on the inside, can that happen?

My baby was 9lb 13 and is now probably 12lbs and I have been bouncing on an exercise ball to soothe her (or generally dancing and rocking her, going up and down the stairs repeatedly), I feel like I shouldn't have been doing that but have felt fine in myself so didn't think it could be causing a problem.

No idea on that one sorry but I think you've done the right thing in asking your MW and in mentioning it on Monday.

@Caldey11 what did your GP say at your check. My bleeding had tapered off and been completely stopped for about a week and now I have started fresh red bleeding again. This is the 4th day of it now (started about 5.5weeks)

My doctor isn't too concerned because I don't have pain or a temperature but she's given me a swab to rule out an infection. It hasn't been very much so I'm not as worried as I was. It seems like it can come back if you do too much physical movement. Ill just have to see how I go. I am still healing internally from the c-section apparently.

Thanks. Probably nothing for me to worry about then. I’ll get a GP appointment I think if still bleeding tomorrow as that will have been 5 days. Just a bit anxious as I had issues with placenta accreta at this delivery and I had retained placenta and pph with my last
