Pms worse postnatal?

Has anyone else experienced worse PMS after having a baby? I am approaching my 3rd period now after DD’s birth (still BFing but have started weaning). My cycles have lengthened by a week and my PMS is horrendous. Period is due in 10ish days and I’m having abdominal cramps and extremely low mood. Pre-baby I wouldn’t have had symptoms like this until a day or 2 before.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yup, my PMS is horrific now. I feel like it's the end of the world every month the day or two before my period. Miserable, anxious, irritable and then some. Took me a while to cotton on as pre-baby I'd never really experienced it😔

Yes this happened to me after first birth and I’m dreading periods returning with second baby. I think I have PMDD - look into the symptoms OP. There are recommended treatment options on some websites like the RCOG I think. It’s miserable

Yes - definitely!

As @hiccupgate says - really low mood, end of the world reaction to small events.

Very common to have PND afterwards and it's still early day's whilst waiting for periods to settle. If however you still have symptoms a few months from now then it's unlikely to be PND..
