Is my milk making her ill?

My LG is 9 weeks. And almost exclusively BF. Shes always pood after every feed but thr last few days have been ridiculous. She poos as I change her and then poos again 5 mins after getting a clean nappy. I've changed her 8 times since 10am. All the poo is giving her horrific nappy rash. A lot of the poos make her cry. She'll howl and pull legs up and then do a little poo then calm down for 5 mins before getting upset again.
I'm seriously considering stopping BF. Cant help feeling that maybe my milk is making her poo so much which is making her miserable and sore.
Any advice????

Could it be something you’re eating that’s getting passed through? Maybe try cutting dairy from your diet (as that’s a common problem) and see if that helps.

My friend had similar issues with her baby and it was cows milk protein allergy. It's not uncommon and they do grow out of it eventually. Speak to a health professional, you may need to cut dairy from your diet to continue breastfeeding.

There is an excellent breastfeeding CMPA group on Facebook who might be able to help.
Breast milk is healing for the gut, even with an allergen in, so if you can it would be better for her.

She might just have a bug if it's ramped up in the last few days, especially if it's burning her bum as the poos might be more acidic than normal. Your milk is the best thing for her, it's highly unlikely it's making her sick. They're might be a chance something in your diet is doing it but it also might not be that, have you eaten anything different in the last week or are you on any medication?

I had this with my little boy, it came on so suddenly. I had started drinking soy lattes, luckily my friend at a baby group is a gp and managed to figure it out. I never touched one again and DS was fine.

We had the same - it improved massively once I cut out dairy.
