Postnatal Hairloss

Does anyone please have any advice/recommendations for postpartum hairloss? It all started when I stopped breastfeeding when my little boy was 5 month. He is now almost 11 months and it seems to be getting worse 😩.

I am taking vitamins and using Hairburst shampoo and conditioner atm.

Several deficiencies can cause hair loss. You could ask for a blood test. I know you said you are taking vitamins but some people literally cannot absorb certain nutrients in pill form.

Some hair loss is normal due to hormone changes. But since it’s getting worse after 6 months not better, that is not normal sounding to me.

My hair started to fall out at about five months PP but I was still breastfeeding. It is very common. I actually ended up with two bald spots on my temples and I couldn’t wear my hair in a ponytail for ages! It is down to hormonal changes as your body gets back to normal, plus when you’re pregnant you don’t shed hair at all so it seems much worse after you’ve had your baby.

No advice I’m afraid but my hair loss stopped after a few weeks and it’s growing back now

I started receeding about 4 months aswell. I just ignored it and one day about 11 months pp noticed two tufts of hair growing back. Its still not full grown back at 17 months but I am still breastfeeding if that makes any difference. I wouldnt worry its unlikely you will go bald
