Hi ladies

My episiotomy was a dream until 6 weeks PP.
I developed an infection then but in my womb. Since taken 2 courses of antibiotics.

I'm now 9 weeks PP and my episiotomy and episiotomy side of vagina is hurting so much !
Iv got a raised bit of scar tissue inside the vagina. The stitches outside vagina look healthy but do hurt if pressed.

It's seriously getting me down. I'm limping around and in constant pain.
Doctors say it's healing. But why have I not had pain until now?

Does seem normal to me. Has anyone any advise. I feel I'm not being taken seriously by doctors as this is seriously hurting me. Probably same pain as 1/2 weeks PP.

Hi there,
There’s a few of us on here in the same boat! Have a scroll threw, there’s already a few chats about episiotomy !
It will get better I promise ...
I’m 12w pp. My stitches broke down by day 4. It was a very dark time. It took ages to heal. Only now do I feel normal although I do get the occasional soreness on the side of the episiotomy. I too can feel raised scare tissue inside as well. I’m assuming this is normal?!! I haven’t attempted sex yet ... a bit scared!
I would go back to your GP. My pain gradually improved & it all became much better. I’ve never felt pain like I did in the beginning.

Try and see a female physio specialist. Pay if you can.
Google Fiona Mitchell she's midlands based but doing online consultations.

My episiotomy was bloody awful. Right, raised, painful. It only stopped when I had my second child, re-tore in the same place and was fixed better. Increasing pain isn’t normal though. Have you already seen the GP about it?
