Not peeing often PP

Bit of an odd one because I always thought after birth I would be peeing to the extreme still with my weakened pelvic floor and sometimes wetting myself (this was how I imagined it). But now I pee like 3 times a day, sometimes I realise at lunchtime that I haven't had my first wee of the day, sometimes it gets to 6pm and I think "oh I've only been once today". I just don't feel that sensation/urge to pee anymore? But I also don't wet myself so it isn't like it's just leaking throughout the day... I sometimes get a small pain in my right hand abdomen (near to where my uterus was I suppose).

I'm worried there may be something causing this, I feel fine within myself health wise though and it doesn't feel like a UTI. Has anyone experienced this? I'm 4 1/2 weeks PP for the info.

My only thought is that if you are breast feeding this might explain the change, as your body is getting rid of more fluid that way than it did before?

I couldn't feel when I needed a pee for a month or 2 after I had my daughter. Had to just go when I thought I would need. She's 4 months now and most of the time it's back to normal.

I had this every time. I think I got used to needing to wee all the damn time so it felt like forever between them PP, but actually 3 wees a day, plus maybe one more at bed time is pretty standard for me (I just never gave it much thought before having a baby and the stark contrast made it obvious). Also, having a baby doesn't have to ruin your pelvic floor. I've had four (one set of twins) and never had any issues whatsoever, even a few days after birth. So it's not a requirement that you have to need to wee all the time.

If you are drinking enough, you're likely fine. But if you're concerned, give your doctor a ring.

I had a similar issue and they kept me in for a few extra days as I told them I couldn't feel my bladder although not wetting myself etc. Then I realised that that was what my bladder felt like pre pregnancy and id just gotten so used to weeing all the time.

If you just took yourself to the loo every couple of hours would you be able to go? Are you drinking enough water?

I did wonder if it was me comparing it to the amount I used to go pre birth! I am breastfeeding so that could be the difference, most days I drink plenty and in the night I do get the urge to go so the sensations are still there, I just don't feel it in the day 🤔

What colour is your wee? If it's a nice light colour you're drinking enough but if it's dark yellow you need to increase your fluid intake
