Can things improve 7 months after birth?

I have prolapse and pelvic floor dysfunction. Religious in doing pelvic floor exercises as prescribed by physio but now 7 months post baby. I still feel significant heaviness over perineum when walking and some pain and discomfort.

My physio wants to discharge me and has told me I'm fine to get back into running, but I tried and heaviness was very bad so not confident to do this.

Things have improved a lot since birth. I was fecally incontinent for the first 8 weeks, and I now can control bowels with manageable urgency, though still have problems with wind.

Everything seems to be focused on things being back to normal around 6 months... I wondered if anyone has stories of things continuing to improve beyond this?

Thanks x
