How long after baby did you wait to have sex?

I have a 10 week old baby girl and I want to have sex again but my partner doesn't seem to be interested. He's never been an affectionate person and sex was the way I felt close to him but the last time we had sex was when I was 32 weeks pregnant and it's starting to really affect me. I'm worried that he doesn't find me attractive anymore because I had an emergency C section and have a scar and overhanging tummy. I do all the night feeds and he sleeps in the spare room so cuddling is rare too. I'm just wondering when sex returned to normal for other mums out there and also wondering if anyone else had a problem with their partner seeming uninterested?

9 months, the first time we were home without DD, but that was me not him, I had a difficult recovery (mentally and physically). It's different for everyone.

Have you spoken to him about this? He may just be being respectful and waiting until you let him know you’re ready / healed etc

I haven't gone into it in detail no. But I have gone through to the spare room a few times when baby has been asleep and have attempted to initiate but he turns over and just goes to sleep. I'm probably going to have to speak to him about it but to be honest I didn't want to make it a big deal and would have rather it just happened naturally but doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon!

3 months- but we were moving house and I was staying with my parents, he would come and spend the day and evening with us but then go home to his older kids. I spent a couple of nights with him before we moved house but we waited a long time!

I waited about 8 weeks. I just kind of had a chat about it and said we need to get back on it . I also had a c section.
