Hi,
Just wondering what someone would do in my situation. I had my beautiful baby boy 17 days ago via forceps and episiotomy. I'm still in so much pain around the episiotomy site to the point where I still can't walk properly, sit down or help out with my baby unless I lie down and he is passed to me. Last night I got my partner to check the area after a bath and he said I was having yellow discharge/yellow dots all around my vagina. He took a photo and showed me, it doesn't look too good and has never looked like that whilst in the healing process.

Tried ringing my health visitor who hasn't answered her phone for 2 days so I'm assuming she isn't working, I rang the hospital ward who said speak to your midwife she needs to come out so I rang her and she's not working so she can't come out to check. I was told then to ring the GP who has no appointments at all until next week.. do I leave it over the weekend and hope it's not an infection or is there anywhere else I can go to?

(I've had antibiotics just finished them 2 days ago, no idea if I had a small infection then but had a funny smell, have been told off 3 different people I had a small infection and 4 different people that I didn't!!!! There's no smell anymore, just pain in the episiotomy site, sometimes when weeing my bladder feels a bit tingly/sore but that's not every time I wee)

I would push to be seen. The hospital still have a duty of care till at least 6 weeks.
My stitches burst with my episiotomy & I returned to the postnatal ward with no problems to be checked. I suggest ringing 111 if all else fails. X
