Is this normal?

I had an emergency c section after 27 hrs of labour. I had a spinal in surgery. Three months on, I am struggling to lift my leg properly. I have pain and weakness that runs from the site of the injection in my spine, roind my right hip and down through my groin / inner leg.

I was not seen by a surgeon before discharge and my 8 week check was literally over the phone and one stitch removal. I was told to see if the weird, achy leg thing just 'settled down'.

Anyone else had the same?

That sounds really awful. Sorry you haven't been taken care of. I'd call the GP in the morning for an in person appointment asap and start the ball rolling. If could take a while to see a specialist but sounds like you need to put the pressure on a bit.
I've had 3 cs and nothing like this at all.

Ooh that sounds unpleasant poor you

I had a planned section almost 4 years ago and I will say I felt much better than I thought straight after and the first week but got worse and worse, did have excess fluid and bruising internally when they did a scan to check at I think about 8 weeks post section..

Have you been overdoing it?

I'll admit even when pain subsided around 12 or 13 weeks I struggled with long walks or exercising properly for a year and had on off pain in my back which every female Dr or nurse or hv I spoke to and other friends said I'd v common with a spinal.

Worth getting checked out and I really hope it improves soon

Take it easy, take pain meds and it may help to keep using a pregnancy pillow for support sitting or bed
