Bleeding after birth

I had a normal vaginal delivery I was bleeding till around the 3rd week then it stoped for week and half and started bleeding again at 5 weeks at first I thought it was my period but the blood flow is not getting lighter (not that it's heavy) like it would when on your period and it's now been 7 days since the bleeding started again and usually my periods are 5 days but I know it could change, but I don't see any sign of this stopping, is it normal to stop bleeding after giving birth and then start bleeding again ?

After the birthday of my 2 dc my blessing was very on and off up until 7 weeks post birth. Spoke to midwife and she said this happens a lot and said it was down to me not resting enough and physically doing too much.

Oh really this would make sense as I'm trying to keep on top of everything and been going on really long walks to help lose the weight
