Anyone had gallstones after baby? I have 4 close family members who have had it and it all happened after birthing their babies. It’s the worse pain I’ve ever experienced. I’m exclusively breastfeeding my 8 week old son, what do I do about this? What happens? Im in a lot of pain, nothing triggers it. Didn’t for my mum either. Just happens. It’s that bad I’m unable to resume what I’m doing, if I’m in the middle of a feed I have to put my son down and deal with it, by rocking on my bed back and forth. Do I request a scan? I know for my mum it took 5 years for them to tell her she had gallstones, as ever time she had a scan a few days after an attack the gallstones would’ve passed. It wasn’t until she went to A&E in agony where they done the scan there and then and saw them. Then put her on a waiting list. It was awful to watch her in so much pain and not help, now I, going through the same thing and I’m not sure what to do. It’s horrible. Thank you for reading this long post :(

Ah this just happened to my sister, she was diagnosed with pancreatitis because it has got so bad. She was scanned and then it only took about 2 weeks for her to have her gallbladder removed- because it was so bad and because she was postpartum I think. Can you see your GP?
