Get a bottle of water and pour it over you at the same time or pee in the shower

Aww you poor thing it's awful isn't it. My only advice would be drink tons of water and then when you go if you need to provide a sample try to stop and spray your lady bits with water. Use a bottle of water with a sports cap and point upwards while on the toilet.

You can get a spray call spritz for bits to cool and heal the tear. I also used witch hazel gel on a cool flannel with lavender oil to soothe and promote healing.

ooh, I feel your pain. Its bloody sore peeing with stitches. I pee'd in the bath for a week! My first pee after birth, I held a damp tissue to cover the stitches. that did help a wee bit but it stings.
just try to remember it won't be forever!
Congratulations on your wee boy!!

If the hospital showers have a hand held nozzle, point that towards your vulva (but not directly up your vagina) and wee in the shower. By far the easiest option. Otherwise go for the water bottle idea. Good luck, I hope you heal well.

Use a squirt water with warmish water and spray while weeing. When you get home, wee in the bath for a bit.

Also find witch hazel impregnated pads (they are called tucks here in the US) and layer them ontop of your sanitary pad every time you change it.

Take ibuprofen every 6 hours, it will help with the swelling and pain. (Do check with your doctor that its ok to take it first)

Drink lots of water, it will dilute your pee which reduces sting potential

Take a sitz bath every day, you might be able to get a thing you can put on the toilet to use, otherwise just put a couple of inches of water in the bath and swish your bits around in it to keep them clean. My DM swears that really salty water helps, so maybe dump some kitchen salt in it and stir to dissolve

Eat foods that will soften your poops, if you cant then consider a stool softner. If you think weeing is scary, just wait for your first poop. Best to plan ahead for a soft one 😱

Also plan on experiencing some stomach cramping as your uterus contracts down...its necessary and good, but it can be quite painful, it tends to be at its worst when you start a breast feed. A hot water bottle on the tummy can be helpful, just dont burn your baby! Also try lying on your stomach on the bed for 10 mins twice a day, it helps.

Congrats on your little one.
