Implant fitted after childbirth - help

I had my baby 8 weeks ago and had the implant fitted the morning after. I am still bleeding! However the blood turned red 2 weeks ago and has now turned brown again. There hasn't been a day since having my baby I haven't bled, it's not heavy.
Looking for peoples experiences who also had the implant fitted and how long they bled for, 8 weeks of bleeding and having to wear pads and I'm cracking up 😭

I've not had the implant but had some spotting after having the Mirena Coul fitted. Have you had the implant before?

I have to have the implant removed for that reason (as well as sending me quite loopy) I was bleeding brown blood and having to wear liners/pads for 18months continuously. In the end I threatened to cut it out myself if they didn’t remove the blooming thing. I went onto the mini pill and had no problems.

Oh no. I had this for 6 nights after my coil was fitted. You could give your go a ring to check it's normal. But the bleeding after it's inserted is really common Sad

I've never had an implant but I bled for about that long after having my first DC. And after my second I bled for about 12 weeks, culminating in a huge flood one day. Enough that I flooded a pad, two layers of clothes, car seat etc. And then it stopped. Got sent for a scan at the hospital and everything was fine, just must be the way my body deals with pregnancy. So your bleeding could just be post-birth bleeding and not implant bleeding.

I bled for 6 weeks then didn't bleed again for 3 years. Worth it.

However, I didn't think you could have an implant till you were 3 months pp?
I'm sure the doctor who fitted it knows better than me! But my doctor wouldn't do mine till my baby was 12 weeks.

I started taking the pill that has the same hormone as the implant around 3 weeks post partum and I bled constantly also! I stopped taking it a couple of weeks ago as I was just so frustrated!
I’m planning on having a few periods first and then trying again

Trying again with contraception I mean not another baby yet! Lol
